You can edit the Source Code of your emails by clicking the Source Code button (<>).

I asked this question differently because this msg does not answer the question. But you simply referred me back here! I don't want to mess about with writing or editing html source code. What I want to do I send a Notification in html format NOT plain plain text. That way I can send an html email to my client incorporating the Notification message without messing around re-formatting everything!

The email alerts are by default in HTML. This is why when editing your email alert settings, these are within a WYSIWYG editor which you can format the text to your preference. You do not need to code in HTML. You can just create your email alert content like how you edit a document in a Word editor. Then every email alerts sent shall be in HTML.
