How can I change the input in a field based on conditions?

    Dear Sir or Madam

I have 3 basic fields in my "public guestbook-form" (via reports):

    - Surname  (i.e. Mike)

    - Name (i.e. Miller)

    - City   (London)

Then I have a checkboxfield (single choice) where people can choose, how their personal data will be published in the Guestbook.

    a) choice 1 (result will be: "Mike Miller, London")
    b) choice 2 (result will be: "Mike Miller, from L.")
    c) choice 3 (result will be: "Mike M. from L.")
    d) choice 4 (result will be: "M. M. from L.")

How can I create a field which returns the result from the choice of the checkbox-field?

    Help would be gladely appreciated.

    Thank you!

Yes, I think there is a way to achieve this, you will only need to use some conditions and the Substring widget to get the first letter of each string.

Here are the needed resources for this:

Please feel free to clone my form and see how it works.

    I hope this helps.
