Pressing delete on an embedded form erases all data in form and takes me to homepage...

Asked by walkingtreetravel on October 09, 2012 at 11:49 AM

When someone clicks not in a field, but just on a blank part of the form that is embedded in my website, and then clicks the DELETE or BACK button on their keyboard, it erases all info entered into the form and takes the person back to my homepage. Is there a way to correct this? Only a problem if someone accidentally presses the delete button on their keyboard while the cursor is not in a specified field, but considering it is a ton of information to enter that is deleted, it is important we can fix it somehow.

    Hi Paul

Is this behavior happening in a particular browser? I was unable to replicate it on my end so far.

    Hi Paul,

It is how the keyboard works in both PC and MAC. It is not an issue with our system or forms. You can try that in any other website with forms.

I'm not able to get back to your homepage when pressing back or delete on my keyboard while my mouse cursor are pointed in a blank space of your form. It is only happen when I click my mouse outside your form and click back or delete button on my keyboard.

    Hope this clears up everything.
