Card view: Purchase order image not popping up on click
- txforesttrailAsked on February 05, 2018 at 06:25 PM
Hi, there.
Something has happened overnight to the single-question page formating and the purchase order payment widget.
Less than 10 hours ago, the purchase order payment widget had a lightbox function.
I recreated all my images to have description content visible when the user clicked.
Now you have to scroll through tabs (1,2,3,4, etc) to see an itty-bitty indistinguishable product and if you "click" the image is "added" and removed from the cart.
Everything is now suddenly centered on the template.
I deleted my form and readded the purchase order widget to make sure that the lightbox preview was selected and it indeed is.
These changes look horrible and make my form completely ineffective. And, It goes live TOMORROW!!!!
Below are screenshots taken hours apart. The first is with the lightbox widget and the second is - whatever the widget is now.
Please, please help.
Thank you in advance for your assistance.
Marty

I checked the direct form link and it is displaying properly. Here's a screen capture of my test:
What do you mean change? What was the previous look of your form? Also, please provide the website link so we can check it further.
Thank you.

NO, that is the new Way.....
A. Is the way it looked last night (and for weeks during the design process).
B. Is what it suddenly looks like today. This "cart" is entirely new. If you go to the standard format with all the fields on one page - the "purchase order" widget still has the lightbox.

I NIk!
Ok so, y'all launched the new "jot form cards" today - with the new "cart."
That update changed both the paypal and purchase order formats completely and got rid of the photo expansion of the products.I've searched, and it doesn't seem like any of the new "card" widgets have a photo expand lightbox at all and there is no way to inject custom css or javascript in this new format.
Is there a way to bring the old format back as an optional widget or add the photo expansions to the new payment widgets in the "card" format?
The new cart has a super cool summary page, but the image size is soooo very limiting - they are itty bitty. It's impossible to see what you are purchasing.
So, I tried using an iframe to place a purchase order widget (created in a separate form in the old format) into the current form.
The problems with my version of the iframe embed. (see screenshot below)
1. 2 sets of scroll bars (1 set on the current "card" another set from the imported iframe)I read a post on the forum, that suggested changing the size of the iframe to hide the imported scrollbars (this kind of works - probably just needs tweaking)
3. On mobile, the image expands within the bounds of the "card" so the expanded image is cut-off. In the previous version (before the new "card" release) the lightbox would expand the image in front of the "card." (So the image was not restricted by the size of the card and the whole image was displayed). In summary:
1. Is there a way to bring the old format back as an optional widget?
2. If not, is there a way to adjust the iframe either in the "card" version or maybe some css or script on the stand-alone payment form (created in the normal format), that would make the payment widget display correctly when its imported into the new "card" version?
3. If, not is there a way to add the photo expansions to the payment widgets in the new "card" format? (if so, can that happen immediately - :) probably not)
4. If none of these, is there a work-around that I haven't thought of?Right now, #2 looks like my best option, but I need help from pros like you....
I know y'all are very busy, but could you help me, please? I don't know what I am doing, and this is very urgent......
Best, Marty

Unfortunately, it is not possible to achieve any of the 4 options mentioned by you with the Card forms at this moment. Since the issue is already been forwarded to our backend team, they will be looking into it. If the payment form is being displayed using an iframe, the payment or the product selection information cannot be captured to card form since they are two different forms and each form will be submitted separately.
At this moment, you may consider adding the images to the form separately before the payment field for display purposes. The other option ma be to change the form layout to display all questions in one page temporarily by switching the option from Form settings till we receive an update from our backend team.
Hope this information helps.

Hi, you suggested -
1. "You may consider adding the images to the form separately before the payment field for display purposes."
I don't understand - I have 5 products. Are you suggesting that I have 5 cards displaying one product on each card? Shoppers will have to click through 5 images before they get to the payment field?
2. Display all questions in one page - this will be montorous - my form has a-billion conditions. I won't be able to use just page breaks I will have to use 30+ panel/section collapse things.
I am in tears right now - and not one of you has bothered to say - "oops, I'm sorry ma'am - we did screw up your form."
Because - jotform did! Jotform screwed this up - and apparently - we paid two-weeks of work to have you mess it up.
I am not a professional - form builder, coder - whatever.
I am a director of a tiny nonprofit organization that serves 35 counties in texas.
YOU have screwed my world up.
An apology, some sympathy and some real help - would be great.

Our sincere apologies, Marty. I understand how would it be felt when the things are not going right. Since the issue is already being looked into by our backend team, we'll need to wait for an update from them.
I don't understand - I have 5 products. Are you suggesting that I have 5 cards displaying one product on each card? Shoppers will have to click through 5 images before they get to the payment field?
I mean to display all the images separately using the Image field so that the user can have a look before they select the option from the payment field. Let us know if this works for you.
We are sorry again for inconvenience this may have caused.
