is it possible to retrieve an older copy of the form?

    I did not realize by changing theme will erase all the custom css.  Is it possible to retrieve them?

    Yes, the form builder resets all custom CSS to avoid conflicts with styling. But, fortunately, it is possible to restore your form to it's previous version:
