How to separate name fields?

Hate to be a buzzkill here guys, but this is total BS (with a capital 'B' and a capital 'S'). Your users have been asking for the separate name functionality for over 3 freakin years. Seriously? (cite: Google Search)

It's completely unacceptable to ask us to manually separate name fields on every form we create. Just the thought of it is repulsive. AND, to make it worse ... the 'shrink' field functionality doesn't work on the new JotForm Cards ... Someone please write a freakin widget or something.

The inability to export &/or integrate using separate name fields is a serious deficiency in your platform. Fix it or risk being ejected from the SF Bay Area by way of protest. haha (facepalm)

Seriously, get a widget on someone's desk today please. Thanks in advance.

We can request a feature about Separate Name field. Please provide more details of what you're trying to achieve. Also, a sample where you will use it and why it is needed to be separated.

As for the JotForm Cards, you can try the Multi-line Question. Here's a quick screencast guide:

I prefer the Name field because you can add additional fields like Middle Name, Prefix, and Suffix.

Simple, we want to be able to both EXPORT first name and last name, so they
    appear in separate .csv columns.
And, we want to be able to to integrate with Zapier, MailChimp, and
whatever other tool, so that the first name and last name fields can be
passed separately without having to do separate-text-gymnastics.
Basic, typical use cases as originally indicated. A reasonable request your
user community has been asking for since 2014!
The multi-line question field does NOT name the fields separately and is
little more than a 'full name' field with unlimited options.
And the short text field 'shrink' option does NOT appear on JotForm Cards
    in Chrome.

If I understand your question correctly, you want the full name filed to be captured in separate column in form's submission page. Is that correct?

Please note that each question / form fields you add in form will be displayed as separate column in form's submission page.I am not sure if this is possible to separate that field in form's submission page. I am creating a feature request ticket and forwarding it to our backend team. We will get back to you as soon as we have any update form them.

For now, the only option is to add separate short text field in form to ask user's for their first & last name.

Please note that card form does not option to shrink form fields.

I have no idea what you mean by 'Feature Request'. (your term .. not mine)
This is not a 'special' request that we wish implemented for a 'special'
use case. It's simply basic missing functionality missing from your
platform and that your user community has been asking for since 2014.
Please escalate this to someone who is empowered to respond with ACTION
instead of the same ole canned answers you guys have been spouting on this
issue for over 3 years. Seriously?
    Thanks

"Feature Request" means a request made by one of the support team members to the development team upon request of a functionality by a user.

The issue has already been escalated to our developer team.

You will be informed through this thread once the feature has been added.
