Is there a widget that can list the county of a city based on the zip code given?

Thank you. I was looking for a widget that would produce the county (not country), based on the zip code provided.

Is there a way to insert a widget into a JotForm that is not a JotForm widget (but can be found on the internet)?

    Thanks!

I'm afraid we have no widget that will show the county based on the zip code. However you can use the Get Visitor Location widget. It is possible to show the county (Region).

    https://widgets.jotform.com/widget/get_visitor_location

Or you can use the Geolocation widget to show a location on a map of the users location.

Its possible to embed a widget into Jotform. You can use the standard text field.

Or if its an iframe you can use the iframe embed widget:

    https://widgets.jotform.com/widget/iframe_embed

However, this will only display the result on the live form. It wont save the result in your submissions.

Again, I appreciate your prompt response. I did try the Get Visitor location widget, but I must have done it incorrectly. No matter what zip code I use, I don't get a county. For the region I get the state.

This is how I have the widget formatted (below). Should there be a "connection" to the zip code field elsewhere in my form?

If I try the option of embedding the code in Text, I am guessing I go to the <> tab on the text box and then paste it there? How or where would I "connect" that with the zip code?

    With thanks . . .

    1) No, the Get visitor location widget will only show in your submissions. It is also possible to show it on the thank you page.

    Try submitting this form:

    2) Yes, that is correct. If you want to embed your external widget you need to paste the code into the source box.

Actually, I need the county on the back end (submissions) only, but I am not sure how to get it to show/populate the county, using the widget.

If I paste the code in the source box, the code itself should know to "read" the zip code field?

    Thank you!

I believe an alternative for this would be using Address Map Locator widget. The County should appear on the Province field.

Please check this form if it generates the County/Province correctly.

I truly appreciate your help, and apologize for being obtuse, but I don't get it! I put that widget in, as is. And then that map does show up on the public form page. I tried filling in address fields above, as well as entering the address on the map itself, but nothing shows anywhere, including on the back end, to indicate County or anything. (Even if I entered Boston, MA as my "customer address," on the back end the fields are completed with info for the state where I am located.

Any further explanation would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

I can confirm that the Region info isn't showing for me either. So I will escalate this issue to Level 2 support. The developers will look into this issue and post a response here when they are ready. Please bear with us through this process as often it can take some time.
