PLACE HOLDERS

Can someone please explain why the placeholder feature doesn't work anymore?

I had a form where I could take the field id and paste it into a question and once a page break was inserted it was awesome.

EG. First Name= Fred

This would then appear in the second question as Hello Fred, What is your birth sign?

EG. Hello {FirstName},What is your birth sign?

I did try and manage to get it to work but now it doesn't. You have removed the Page Break feature. This is major game changer and certainly not an upgrade but a step backwards. So unless I am missing something can you please suggest a work around?
