How can I load data to the form using a bar code scanner

I just noticed on signing up for the CVS pharmacy app that they can load personal data (Name, address) by scanning in the bar code on the back of my driver's license.  Is that something that is available from Jotform or one of the associated developers that have add-ons to jotfrom?

Sadly, we don't have that feature, nor any widgets similar to that. The closest we have are QR code scanners but I don't think this will achieve what you need.

These QR code related widgets do the opposite, where the QR codes will be generated based on the data filled out by your users on the form. If you're interested, have a look at this page to see your options.

I wonder if the CVS pharmacy app was developed in house or was created by an outside firm. Is there a way to tell who developed the code? It’s pretty slick.

I'm afraid we wouldn't know since you haven't shared any resources on where we can find this said app. I'll just assume you're referring to this.

There's also no way to tell if the app was built in-house or outsourced. That info can only be answered definitively by the app developer or if you will get in touch with CVS Pharmacy directly.

    Yes, that’s the app.

    Maybe in the future.
