    These are not exactly the same. They maybe similar in the sense that the purpose of using them is for security reasons.

    In JotForm, the Captcha field is a field that you can use to capture human validations/confirmation using a challenge-response test. It asks for a randomize value and you provide the correct value in response. You can find this field in JotForm in power tools group.

    SSL (Secure Socket Layer) is a security technology that provide encryptions on the links between the webserver and the client browser(the internet). Here is an article how SSL work in JotForm.
