There is a way to let user update their submitted information, please check this guide: https://www.jotform.com/help/40-How-to-Let-Users-Update-Their-Form-Submissions-at-a-Later-Date

This is great. But, if a user updates there submission and creates a new appointment date their data is duplicated in the excel document that our clients are using to track all of their appointments. They are having to go into the excel document and manually delete the original submission for each change. Is there a good work around on this?

    Thanks so much

When the submission is edited it should update the existing record rather than creating a new record. For example, if you use a Google Spreadsheet integration the row is supposed to be automatically updated in the spreadsheet when the submission is edited. If you are facing any issues with this, please provide us with more details so we will be able to take a look.

    Hi Mike,

I have added the {edit_link} tag to an auto-responder email like BDavid suggested. When we click on the link it takes us back into our original submission to make changes.  However, we selected a new timeslot and hit submit.  But rather then update the original submission it added another to the google sheet?

Not sure what we are doing wrong.

We also noticed that when using the Time Slot widget we were getting duplicate submissions if two people (from two different computers) signed up for the same time slot at the same time.

We tested using the Purchase ticket widget instead which seemed to fix this problem, but we are still not able to edit our submissions.

    Any help is appreciated!

So, did you replace the Time Slot widget for the Purchase ticket? Please share the URL of the form you are referring to, so we can test it further.
