    Paypal Question

    Asked by electroniccarbook on October 12, 2012 at 10:38 AM

    The landing page for your PayPal goes to a form that has no option but to sign up for PayPal.  The one I currently use lets them also just use a credit card without signing up.  How can I get it to go to that form instead?

    See our current order button here:

    Hi,

    Is this the one that you meant?

    On the PayPal payment page there is a "Don't have a PayPal account?" option which allows you to pay using your credit card directly and at the same time register for a PayPal account. If not, then can you please explain your inquiry further?

    Hope this helps, thank you.

    This is a good point actually.

    It is working like this; if your client does not have a paypal account then the paypal page shows  "Don't have a PayPal account?"  section by defacul. If they have an paypal account, then it is shown Have a Paypal account section. Looks like it depends of the cookies in your brower

    @thespanishfactory,

    We are sorry but that's how Paypal works. The Paypal integration doesn't allow someone to pre-select what method would they prefer to pay for your products/items.

    You may try to use Paypal PRO payment.

    Thanks

    I found that it was because I didn't use the correct email to connect to PayPal.  I guess it's a setting there that's different. As soon as I changed it, it now shows a prompt that gives them the option of paying without signing up.

    @electroniccarbook

    "I found that it was because I didn't use the correct email to connect to PayPal."

    Yes. The email account in the paypal field should be a valid one(or refers to an existing email paypal account).

    But additionally, the customer (your customer that will use the form), should also be logged in already to paypal before they can proceed to payment process. They will have to sign-up or create a paypal account if they don't have one (not logged in to it at the time)

    Hope this clarifies the process. Please inform us if you have further inquiry.

    Thanks.
