Dynamic Textbox Widget: Field is required but I can submit with an empty field

the dynamic textbox for player/handicap - I have this field as required but it is letting me submit the form without any data in it. I did this while testing it.

The validation error for the widget works fine on my end. I have created a clone of your form and removed all required fields except for the "Dynamic textbox" widget, after clicking the "Review registration" button the error prompt if field is left blank.
Can you please confirm if you can bypass the validation by submitting your form using your form's direct URL https://form.jotform.com/80442303055142?

I just submitted it with it blank. It is the last registration in our system for this form. There are no names. On another thread (I had it tied to this one but they moved it) they made me turn back on count text boxes so that the calculation would work. Not sure if that affects it. Any ideas on how to make it be required?

I cloned your form www.jotform.us/form/80442303055142 and I can't seem to replicate the issue. The form won't let me submit with a missing field.
Cleared your form cache, kindly try is the issue still remains.
If the issue still remains,can you please let us know the steps you took, so that we can replicate the error?

Sure, just cleared cache and attempted it again and was able to submit the form without a name in the required field. Steps are:
Selected: ABC Mississippi Member
Input: Frost Creative LLC
Input email: candace@frostcreative.net
Left player/handicap field blank
Chose 1 mulligan
Chose $1500 beverage cart sponsor
Total was $1740 (counted one of the $200 player regs w/o a name)
Payment type: Send Invoice
and the form submitted successfully and attached is the confirmation email with no player names coming across because the field is blank (that's how I have my settings, not to show empty fields on confirmation).

I followed your step and replicated the issue.
It seems your preview widget is bypassing the required field and assigning a value to the Dynamic text box.
When I delete the preview widget, the system will see the error.
I will forward this thread to our second level so that they can check it further. We will let you know in this thread when we have updates.
For the time being, kindly remove the preview before submit widget.
