Custom domain: We cannot use SSL

Good day. We are new customers... literally signed up today.

I am very disappointed to hear that we cannot use SSL on a custom domain name.

It is great that you have "escalated this to your Developement team" today (15 Feb 2018) but we won't be able to remain as customers if our clients won't see a custom URL using HTTPS in their browsers. We are collecting sensitive financial information, and we don't much care to change domain hosting-providers to Cloudfare.

Your related threads don't shed much new light on the question. Indeed it is downright distressing that "Jeannette" said that the feature should be coming soon... in Dec 2015. More than two years later, no progress?

In April 2017, your Helen repeats "Custom Domain Form does NOT support HTTPS or SSL. I suggest you use CloudFlare as your DNS provider".

What magic is CloudFlare providing that our DNS hosting company does not offer?

No its not possible to use SSL with a domain name as a direct link to a form.

But it its possible to use SSL when a hosted page has an embedded form in it.
