    Hi,

I'm having difficulty getting it to sync to dropbox. I went through all of the necessary steps, but it doesn't appear in dropbox.

    Can you help?

    Thanks!

    Hello Karyn,

Some of your forms have prohibited characters on their names, specifically a bar "|". Jotform uses your form's name as the Dropbox folder name to which submissions are saved. Because most operating systems (i.e., Windows and Mac OS) prohibit the use of such characters as folder and file names, the submissions to this form are not showing up in your computer.

To fix this, remove this character from your forms' names. You can change the names by editing the form then clicking on the form's title bar .

Hope you find this answer useful.

I just tried that and it didn't work. I also read through the page you linked to. Any other tips?

Please provide us with a link to the form in question.

Then, we will try to clone that form and reproduce the problem from our side.

    Thank you.

The first form is disabled, so I have cloned the second one.

I was able to get it integrated with Dropbox. Also the files are being delivered to my Dropbox. Do you receive any files on your Dropbox?

However, I have noticed a little problem with the payment form integrated with Dropbox. If you submit the form, but avoid the payment stage, submission will be placed into the Pending Submissions and files will be uploaded to the Dropbox. Once you complete the pending submission, integration will create an additional Dropbox folder with submission PDF.

    Example:

    1. Submit the form, and avoid payment.

Files from submission will be placed to:

    Dropbox/Special Form Flashpoint Gallery RFP

    2. Complete pending submission from Submissions page.

Submission PDF will be placed to:

    Dropbox/Special%20Form%20Flashpoint%20Gallery%20RFP

I have forwarded that problem to our Development Team.

    Hi,

I just looked and we haven't received any files to our dropbox.

We're done collecting submissions for now, so hopefully that problem won't matter now.

    Thanks,

    Karyn

But we do still need to get the files to dropbox. That'll make them much easier to manage and share.

    Thank you!

We re-intrigrated dropbox and it still won't work. We tried different browsers and we tried syncing it to different dropbox accounts too. It doesn't work.

    Hello,

Quick question: Are you expecting previously uploaded files to be synchronized to your Dropbox account?

If yes, then that might be where the problem lies. Jotform cannot sync submissions/files that were uploaded prior to the integration. Only new submissions/files will be sent to Dropbox.

If I am wrong with my assumption about your expectation, then we might need to conduct further investigation on this matter.

Yes, I am. We were able to do that last year. Is this something that has changed?

If we can't do that, is there an easy way to export the files? Because exporting the excel sheet with the links is not convenient.

Thanks for all of your help.

Our Dropbox integration feature has always been that way. It cannot sync previous submissions.

If we can't do that, is there an easy way to export the files? Because exporting the excel sheet with the links is not convenient.

Currently, there isn't any way to export the files other than downloading them one by one using the links from the grid reports or from the Excel sheet. Sorry about that.

    Best regards

    Karyn,

After searching for solutions to make things easier for you, I found these links:

Not sure how that could work because I have not tested it yet, but feel free to try it (at your own risk, sorry).
