Transferred ownership of form, now the changes don't reflect published form

    Hello,

I transferred ownership of a form in production to a manager in my company that had went outside of my Jotform account and created a paid account. I thought that instead of paying for another account that I would transfer the form and keep the same form, be able to edit it as needed etc. However I have found that not to be the case..

The original form is still up in production as: https://form.jotform.us/Pfeifferuser/service-request - this is under my Jotform account.

The transferred form now not in production at: (previe of form location) - https://form.jotform.com/jbpfeiffer/service-request

I have this form being used for my customer which has many different users submitting to it. It would be very cumbersome to have everyone change over to the new form now...

Can the owner now transfer ownership back to me or can this be done by JotForm itself?

Please let me know the right course of action to keep consistency of the form without making this a mess for all the customers using the form.

Both form links with the custom name you provided are actually the same form - https://www.jotform.us/form/70654651110144

Considering that you moved the form to another account the link with your account custom name should no longer work - https://form.jotform.us/Pfeifferuser/service-request

If you want to keep the form in the account jbpfeiffer, we can report this issue to our developers.

However, if you want to move the form back to your account Pfeifferuser, the user jbpfeiffer has to make that request here of the forum and we will move the form back to your account. The request must come from the account that owns the form. Considering that this thread is public the user jbpfeiffer can post the request here. The user can also open a new thread and request that the form is moved to your account. We will need the form ID and the username of the account to which the form should be moved.

Thank you for the response. They are the same however changes that I have made on the form after transferring ownership to jbpfeiffer are not showing up on the form that is currently being used by customers.
https://form.jotform.us/Pfeifferuser/service-request - this form is still working. (I need to keep this link working as it has been sent out to folks to follow for service work)

The form under jbpfeiffer account is showing the latest changes. However in order for my customers to go to this form the link that they are using would need to change to the https://form.jotform.us/jbpfeiffer/service-request

Can the link https://form.jotform.us/Pfeifferuser/service-request be forwarded to https://form.jotform.us/jbpfeiffer/service-request?
    Thanks,
    Michael S. Koval

Sounds like you wanted to copy the form to begin with. And not to move it.

Note that in future its possible to copy a form by cloning it:
    How-to-Clone-an-Existing-Form-from-a-URL

You don't need permission to do this.

However, for security precautions: if you still would like the form moved back to your account we will need permission from the owner of the jbpfeiffer account. Is that you? We would need this user to login and post permission on this thread.

    Joseph,
Can you authorize Jotform to move the “Methodist Service Request” form back to my ownership?
By doing this I will be able to keep the same location and address of the form without having everyone on the other end to change the link to the link under your account.
Call me should you have any questions.
    Thanks,
    Michael S. Koval

OK, thanks for your reply. I noticed you both have the same email domain. So it actually isn't required for you to post permission as you are both in the same organization.

Anyhow, I have moved form 70654651110144 "Methodist Service Request" from the jbpfeiffer account to the Pfeifferuser account.

If you require any further assistance, please get back to us.

Thanks for the assistance. Since you have moved it back to my account I am able to see the changes in action…
What I wanted to do in the first place is do away with the branding on my account. We started using Jotform for a couple of forms initially, then the VP of the company created a separate log in and forms of his own. Since he had a paid subscription I thought would move my form over to his account. Since he already had a paid subscription and my form was being used by our customer would look better without the branding…
However it changed the address after I did it and the original form address was not receiving the changes I was making. So in order to have everyone using the latest and greatest form I would need to have everyone change from the form associated with my account to the form associated with jbpfieffer user name. This would be problematic since we just got the customer to fully implement the form process throughout its end users. This would create quite of a bit of confusion as to why, who would not get the info or follow it… ugh…
So at this point is there no other way to merge these 2 accounts so I could have a form without the branding?
    Thanks,
    Michael S. Koval

The branding option can be turned off only for paid accounts, there is not currently a way to have both accounts merged into one single account.

If you need the branding to be removed without upgrading your current account the form may be moved to the paid account; however, since your username is included in the form's URL the form will no longer work after being moved.
