Is it possible to set a different email for th responses to be sent to
I work with a volunteer group and the social committee persons would like me to send out a survey but I would like to have the responses sent to her

Yes, it is possible to set the email for Notifications that differs from your account's one.
To adjust your Notification email, please go to your form's Settings > Emails section > click Pencil to edit the email > add new recipient at Recipients tab:
