    Hi

I am using cards. I ask the first name and then I have a long text entry in which I want to insert the first name previously entered.

    Can we do that?

    Hello,

Yes, it is possible to prepopulate fields via URL parameters.

    Thanks.

URL parameters is not a solution in that case. User is filling his name, then he clicks "Next" and I want to insert his value in a long text entry.

    Thanks for this clarification, Yodjii.

For filling up within the same form by which the information from one field shall be copied to another, you can make use of the update/calculation condition for which the intent of the condition is to copy the value from one field to another.

You can check out this guide for more information: https://www.jotform.com/help/286-How-to-Pass-Field-Value-to-Another-Field

    Thanks.
