I want to upload a excel file onto the form which can then be downloaded by the end user, filled up and then attached to the form. I know of the feature to attach a file, but how do I create the option for the user to download a file from the form?

Let me repeat your question; Do you want to attach an Excel file to your form then user will download it, fill it up and upload back to your form?
How do I create the option for the user to download a file from the form?
-First, upload the file to your server or any file hosting sites, get the file path/link and choose our "Free Text HTML" field and place the link their.
1. Under Power Tools
2. Choose "Free Text HTML" field
Hope this helps and let us know for questions.

Thanks for the help. I registered using Dropbox and pasted the link. The options work fine.
I take it that there is no option for embedding a file directly into the form?
Thanks for the given suggestion.

As stated to my first response, you can use our Free Text HTML field and paste the embed codes on the box provided.
Save your embed codes somewhere in your computer as backup. You cannot edit the codes in our Free Text HTML field once you have hit the "Complete" button. Use notepad or any other code editor to edit your embed codes before placing it to our Free Text HTML field.
Thanks and let us know for questions.
