How can I date and time stamp a form being submitted?

Asked by jchouse14 on February 16, 2011 at 05:49 PM

Basically, the user is filling out an application.

    The application has a deadline (e.g. 12-Dec-2011 @ 5:00pm EST)

When the form is submitted, in the email, I wanted added to the subject or the body the date and time stamp when it was submitted. I'd prefer not to use the date/time field as it can be manipulated by the client.

It's not the end of the world if I don't get this, as I can set an expiration date on the page that is hosting the form.I just think it would be cleaner to do both (to avoid discrepancies).

You can read all about the Date/Time tags here:

Thank you, that is good for the actual submission, but what if I want to display on the form itself, the time of the last submission.  Right now, my form is simply displaying the current time.  Is there a way I can retrieve that field and store it statically somewhere such that it can then be redisplayed as the original time stamp.

I am looking to provide a way of looking at the live (edit link) form and seeing the last time the form was edit/saved.

    I hope this makes sense.
