Is it possible to send a copy of the form to the person filling it in?

Asked by ingebean on February 17, 2011 at 12:18 AM

Say someone fills in my form, I would like them to recieve a copy of the information they inserted into the form for their records. There is a required email address field on my form.

Is there a way that when they click submit, they will recieve an email that is similar to the one I recieve?

    Thanks a bunch

    Hi Ingebean,

To do this you'll need to set up a Notification and an Auto Response.  But that is very easy to do, here's how:

Open the form on the form editor
Click on "Setup & Share" tab on the top toolbar

    Click on "Email Alerts"
Click Add New Email and follow the wizard for Notifications.
Complete it as normal, then save and finish.

    Click on "Email Alerts" again
Click Add New Email and follow the wizard for Auto Responder.
    Save and finish.

If you have completed it correctly you should see two emails listed when you click the Email Alerts button for your form.
