I cannot get my PDF to show up in the form and I cannot find where to put a URL.  The widget only seems to allow uploading from my PC and then it just disappears.

    Can you help?

With the PDF embedder widget, you can only upload files and not insert a PDF URL.

I tried uploading a pdf file and it seems to be working correctly.

May we know what browser you are using?

Kindly try to add the widget again, let us know if the issue still remains.

I thought the widget is used for displaying a PDF on the form and although I upload a file, it shows initially but then disappears.  I was not trying to insert a URL but when I searched the forums, this is what was suggested.

I am using Firefox and I am used to adding widgets.

I've changed it to an image now and that displays OK.

    David

The PDF Embeder widget will display your PDF file(.pdf) in your form.

Here is a sample screen cast.

    Hope this information helps.

Please let us know if we can be of further assistance.

Yes, I have done all of this exactly as you show but having uploaded the PDF, it displays to start with and then disappears.

I have now added the pdf beneath the image for you to check and it displays fine but, in due course, it will disappear.  I told everybody the form had been updated and by the time they looked at the form, the pdf had disappeared.

There is nothing wrong with what I am doing.  It just disappears!

    David

Thank you for the clarification, it seems the widget is working fine at the moment in your form.

May we know if you have embedded your form into a website? If yes, can we have the website URL?

If the issue still remains, let us know so we check it further.

    Thank you.

I have been out all evening and both the image and the PDF have remained visible on PC, Tablet and Phone.  The URL is www.oxtedcarnival.com > Get Involved >  link to Stall Holder Application Form, halfway down.

    Very strange indeed!

    Thank you for your help,

    David

I was able to reproduce it here when I load the form for the very first time. The PDF Embedder Widget is just blank. No PDF is shown.

However, after several rechecks, I could no longer reproduce it even in incognito mode so I think the problem is very intermittent or just temporary.

    Here are my findings:

There's no error in the console but the PDF viewer is not generated in the source code.

I will still escalate this to our developers for further investigation but I could not guarantee you of anything yet since this may be a temporary issue. We'll let you know once we receive an update.

Thank you for reporting and we apologize for the inconveniences caused.

Thank you for your perseverance.  I thought I was going mad!  Anyway, I agree with you that it is intermittent.  In this case, I have the option of displaying an image, so I will remove the PDF.

    Many thanks,

    David

Hi we apologize for the late response. We just updated the widget to use a non-google viewer when viewing the embedded PDF. But please do let us know if the problem persist.
