I would like to know if there is an option to submit only one form by e-mail address. I would like to avoid the participants to submit several forms.

You can set a form limits based on a Unique Questions. Here's a guide: https://www.jotform.com/help/223-How-to-set-Form-Limits-Based-on-a-Unique-Question

For example, the user cannot use the same email address when applying to your form.
