Is there a way to add the ability to upload a .pdf document or a .docx?

Hello,

We created an application where there is an option to upload a resume.  It is saying that the only file types are doc, xls, jpg, jpeg, gif, png, mp3, mpeg. 

Our applicants are having issue with the uploading feature.  Is there a way to add the ability to upload a .pdf document or a .docx? 

You can add that in the file upload properties.
