I am unable to update my new payment information. When I click on "change credit card" it sends me to Paypal

This means your credit card payment processor is Paypal and hence you will need to login to your Paypal account when redirected and change your credit card details.
Below is a guide on doing so.

Kindly note that since your account was being paid through another Paypal account we will need to cancel your current subscription for you to subscribe again using the correct payment processor using your Credit card.
Kindly confirm the above.
