Required fields: Expected behaviour

Hi. This is my first time creating a form (contract). I used a template supplied by jotform, made my edits and then saved it as a form. I opened the form then copied the url and sent that url address to my email as a test. When I go to fill out the information, (Bride's name and address, etc.) It highlights red and says "this field is required" and doesn't let me move on. What's going on? Is there a step I missed?

Required fields will not allow you to submit (or go to the next page) until they have been filled in.

You can tell which fields are required as they will have a red asterix beside them (*).

You can toggle the required field by selecting it, opening its properties (gear icon), going to the general tab, and enabling/disabling the required option.
