my forms are partly in Dutch. Why?

Asked by flloyd2010 on October 29, 2012 at 01:26 AM

This is how my Forms are coming through:

    Hallo,

iemand heeft de volgende gegevens ingevult op Contact

Followed by the rest of the form in English. At the bottom of the form, covering my final text message, is this text:

    Do you like Wouterplanet?

I would appreciate having my entire form in English, and my entire form visible.

    Please advise

    Hi,

    It is because your form notifications are in Dutch Language. You just need to change it to English, just go to your form notifications;

    1. Click "Setup and Embed"

    2. Click "Email Alerts" and a small window will appear..

    3. Click "Kennisgeving 1" and a window will appear.

    4. Change the languange

    Thank you very much.

    sorry about that.

I asked why are they in Dutch in the first place?  When I first started using Jotform some years ago, they were all in English.  I haven't changed anything.  This is pretty weird to me.  Do I have to edit every email form I set up?

Usually I don't set up an email notification, I just rely on receiving the form via email, and then I reply direct. But the form arrives with the Dutch heading, and the Wouterplanet text blocking my final question.

    Any more suggestions?

    Hi,

If I may ask you, do you have this form being clone from our form templates page? If yes, then that's the reason. The form notification is created in Dutch Language before you have cloned it.

Also, maybe because you are accesing our site in Dutch Language, our site will auto change your language depending on your location. You can switch that anytime, just please navigate to our footer and choose English:

I suggest you to please delete your existing notifications and recreate it. That would solve your problem.

    Thanks

Thank you for that.  But it is already in English.  The footer option has never been changed.

But I will delete the clone, and start again, and see if that makes a difference.

    Thank you for your help.

    Cheers

    Hi Flloyd,

You do not need to delete that form, just edit the existing notifications and auto responder or delete the existing notifications and re-create it again. Cloning that form back without editing the form notifications won't solve your problem.

Thanks, but I don't actually have an email notification set up for that form.  It's the form itself that comes through with the Dutch greeting.

I don't have anything against Dutch, it's a charming language, just that I don't expect it in an English language situation.

    Hi Flloyd,

It's the form itself that comes through with the Dutch greeting.

-Because you have this form being clone from our form template gallery, right? The form notification is created just before you have cloned it. It is already created by the form owner before he added it to our form gallery.

The best solution is to go through your form notifications and edit them. Cheers! Or, you can try which is best for you. But I suggest you to just edit or re-create your form notifications.

    Thanks
