We're using the new cards.
Having the name show up in our CRM (via Zapier) and on the email that Jotform sends out. It took several steps using Zapier's Formatter to simply get the name to show up properly...not cool.
Currently: {name48} = First: JohnLast: Doe
Very unhelpful.
Suggestion: allow first and last name to be TWO different data pieces and they should show up WITHOUT their label
So that:
{firstname} = John
{lastname} = Doe
That would give us the flexibility to use the data as we see fit.
Thanks!

I inspected your form and the Name field is the Multi-Line Question field. It is possible to separate the field values with Multi-Line Question field in email alerts.
With the Full Name field you can add ":first" and ":last" to the field unique name.
Like this:
{name:first}
{name:last}
How to Find Field IDs and Names
Here is my demo form with the Name Filed. I am passing separate first and last name to the Text field on the second page.

Feel free to test it and clone it.
The same can be done in email alerts.

That worked great for emails.
Zapier does not allow for using the first / last fields, just the one name
with labels.
Can Jotform change that behavior so that the default name field is separate
and WITHOUT labels.?
Thanks for considering.

You can achieve this by using a standard short text field for each entry.
So you would have one field called firstname and another called lastname.

watchhelpReplied on March 29, 2018 at 12:43 PMyes, but with cards this would become TWO screens, would it not...not a
good option.
Moreover, when in the world would any user want the output that is
currently the default?
Just saying...:)

1) Yes, but with cards this would become TWO screens, would it not?
That's right each field would need its own card to allow this to work.
2) Moreover, when in the world would any user want the output that is
currently the default?
Yes I agree, if you like we can submit a feature request to the development team?
