Is it possible for a form to remain editable after it has been submitted?

Asked by zradguy on October 29, 2012 at 12:42 PM

    Hi there,

I am interested in trying out jotform for web change requests.  In other words, when a customer has a change they need made to our corporate website (a document uploaded, a page created, etc), I would like for them to submit the request to us using a jotform form.

Once the form has been submitted however, I would like for our team to be able to access the form submission so that we can do things at a later date, such as mark the request "completed", or assign a note to the form which would get sent back to the requestor.

Once the form is marked "completed" by us, I would like the requestor to receive an automated message saying the request is finished.

Also, we would like to track the amount of time we spend on a given request.  If we are able to access/edit the form submission once the requestor has submitted their form, we can mark fields such as # of days we worked on the form, and # of hours it took to complete the request.

Finally, we would like to have the form data sent to Google Drive for our tracking purposes.

Is all, or any of this possible with jotform?

    Thanks very much,

    Paul

    Hi Paul,

    Please find my answers below;

I am interested in trying out jotform for web change requests.  In other words, when a customer has a change they need made to our corporate website (a document uploaded, a page created, etc), I would like for them to submit the request to us using a jotform form.

    - You can use our upload tools to allow file uploads, please check out our form builder and get back to us for questions.

Once the form has been submitted however, I would like for our team to be able to access the form submission so that we can do things at a later date, such as mark the request "completed", or assign a note to the form which would get sent back to the requestor.

    - Not Possible for the others to access your form submissions page unless you will give them the access to your account. It is also not possible to assign a note to a form.

Once the form is marked "completed" by us, I would like the requestor to receive an automated message saying the request is finished.

    - This is not possible as memtion above.

Also, we would like to track the amount of time we spend on a given request.  If we are able to access/edit the form submission once the requestor has submitted their form, we can mark fields such as # of days we worked on the form, and # of hours it took to complete the request.

    - This is also not possible, however, you can manually create a tracking data over this request and mark them accordingly.

Finally, we would like to have the form data sent to Google Drive for our tracking purposes.
