Can you add Formulas to these forms?

Asked by RichardRealtor on November 01, 2012 at 06:05 PM

Is it possible to add formulas that will automatically calculate for example:

fill in a blank: $3,000 commissions

fill in a blank: less 20% referral fee

fill in a blank: Total $2,400

So all they need to do is enter the numbers and it auto calculates the info, can this be done or added?

I look forward to your reply.

    Hi RR,

Unfortunately, there is no calculation field in JotForm. The only fields that provide some calculations (i.e. Total) are those in the Payment tools fields.

Your idea on the form can be achieved if you will use the form's source code and create your own calculator function. You can use javascript application for the custom function codes.

Please note though that using the form's source code will require you to host the form on your own website and will also require you to re-embed the source code everytime you update the form in the form builder.

Hope this help. Inform us if you have other inquiry.
