permission to add to newsletter list on Mailchimp via contact form

Asked by mogadmin on November 02, 2012 at 12:44 PM

Is there a way to ask permission when someone is submitting an inquiry on the contact us form... to ask them if we can add them to our newsletter, and IF they say yes, THEN it integrates into our Mail Chimp db?

I think I saw a post about this before... but wasn't sure what to call it or where to look.

    Thanks...

    Christine

    Hi,

Unfortunately, such option is not available as of the moment . However, as an alternative you may use conditions on your form to achieve something similar.

Thank you for using Jotform. Let us know if there's anything else that you require assistance with.

That sounds feasible... but then how... the condition would be to open another name/email window...??

I guess I'm not following... and then how to integrate that.

What I suggest is that you create two forms. First form would be the form that asks if they want to subscribe or not. This is then where you put in your conditions, if they select no then send them to a thank you page. If they select yes, redirect them to the second form where they can fillin their email address to subscribe.

Note: Make sure to integrate the second form to mailchimp.

Here is a guide for creating conditions: http://www.jotform.com/help/57-Conditional-Logic-on-Forms

    Hope this helps. Thank you.

Alternatively, you may simply integrate your form to MailChimp.

Our current integration feature with MailChimp allows you to offer an option to your visitors if they want to be added to your mailing list or not.
