Excel Spreadsheet is not exporting correctly

Asked by guest_22746346653055 on November 02, 2012 at 01:02 PM

I have a report built on my form, but when I export it through my reports tab, it will not export correctly.  I have attached a picture of the statement that I am getting.  Please help as we are on a time constraint with this report.  Thank you.

Hi, if you are referring to the export Reports tab that is next to the submissions for your forms on your My Forms List Toolbar, I just tested this and it appears to be working properly on my end.

If the problem continues please try deleting the reports and making a new one to see if this helps correct your problem. Also I would like to recommend that you read the Generating an Excel Report guide incase you have not done so already.

If you are still having trouble beyond this then please let us know so that we can investigate it further.

Hello, Thank you for your response.  I may have not asked the question properly.  I am able to export the spreadsheet, but when I am saving it or trying to open the spreadsheet, I am getting the error such as the attachment above.  I deleted both reports I had and created a new one and still not working.  I just tried it again and same thing happens. It is only happening on that particular form. It never gave us problems prior to this. Please help.  Thank you.

That seems to be a security alert on Excel. Probably excel is not recognizing the validation. Or it is coming corrupt. You should just open it and instruct Excel to validate the file to avoid further warnings

Hello and thank you for your response.  I did instruct Excel to validate the file and I get the report but it says that "Excel recovered your formulas and cell values, but some data may have been lost".  And yes, data is lost and probably only a quarter of the data is there.

Can you please send me the file to support@jotform.com with attention to me, so I can try to reproduce the error?
