    Good morning.

I have added the referrer widget to my most recent form, "Working Capital eQualification Questionnaire", and am not sure how its supposed to work. According to the brief description, its supposed to automatically ID the person Url, who made the referral of the form? Well, while using the form in test mode it provided a Jotforms Url. However, once I came out of the test mode and sent the form to one of my email address, from my iPhone 7, it didn't list any Url.

How does it really work? Why didn't I see any info as explained? How can i identify who the referrer is if I just get back an http address? What do I need to do to get it operational so I can track referrers and then be able to id them? Can this be done?

The value the Get Referrer widget produce is the URL of the website where they (your respondents) came from before they reached your form and then submitted it.

    Here's an example:

If you click the link to the form in this sample webpage — get-referrer-widget-test, you will be redirected to a Contact Us form. If you submit that form, the Get Referrer widget's value will be the URL of the sample webpage because that's where you came from.

Here's how it will look like on the submissions page:

    And on the email notification:

However, if you load the form from its direct link and not coming from any website, the Get Referrer widget will not return any value. This is what happened when you test your form from your iPhone7.

I hope this helps. If you have other questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to let us know.
