Can you download a report into excel of multiple files?

I am not sure I understand what you mean by that.

If you want to download the form submissions as an Excel file, you can do so from the form submissions page.

Thank you, can I only run this from a laptop/desktop rather than a device? Say an iPhone?

i am certain I have tried before and it’s saying it been downloaded but I can’t retrieve it or find it 

The Excel file will be downloaded in the Downloads folder of your device/laptop/mobile unless you have set another folder.

To open that file, you need to have Microsoft Excel installed on your machine/device or a .xlsx file reader.

You can also upload it to Google Drive and open it using Google Spreadsheets in a browser.
