I'm not sure if this function can be achieved. See I create a form for key collection which means the client will need to return the key to us at some stage.
It is easy to create a form to fill out the details from the client end in terms of key collection date, contact details and et cetera. However, when the client is to return the keys to us, are there any options in jotform which will allow me to search the past submission where the "collected" was ticked, but "returned" is not.
In other words, I simply want to match to submission so that the collection and return from a particular client can be correlated together. Is this achievable? If yes, could you please give me a sample form so that I can have a look? If no, I would really appreciate it if you can please point me a direction.
Many thanks for your assistance.

From what I can read at your post, I can suggest creating a kind of approval form.
You receive a submission when the key is collected.
When it is returned, you can edit the previous submission to mark it as "returned". There would be few hidden fields, which are shown on the edit link only. 1 for current date and 1 for dropdown with "collected" and "returned" options. As a search key you could use the email your clients provide, or the name. There is a search option on the Submissions page:
You can also search among the Notification emails you receive.
A general approach of approval process is described in the following guide:
