Payment Integration: Possibility to edit submissions and select a different product when the product prices are the same

I created a summer camp registration forms, and a mother made a mistake and purchased week 5 (full day) but meant to purchase week 2 (full day). The prices are exactly the same, but my Summer Camp Coordinator would like the form to reflect the correct weeks for her records,  and the mom would like the correct record to show. I understand that there is a payment connected, but what I find odd if that you, as the software owners, cannot make this very quick, easy fix without prompting the payment. Parents make mistakes all of the time and we like to fix things for them. To have the only option to have the mother refunded (which we will pay fees on from Paypal) and then have to fill out everything all over again (causes us fees again on the other side of Paypal) is just not acceptable to us as a business. I would like some leeway and help in this so I can confidently tell my school I made the right choice going with JotForm. In a world where we have to fight to get technology into schools, when it "disappoints" us like this, people will continue to cling to paper, where they can just make the simple adjustment without hoops. I also understand why we would not be allowed to change a payment that would cause an increase, which I am not asking for. I would like the option to switch the weeks around so long as they end up costing the same. Thank you.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to edit the payment section of a form when editing a submission.

For a submission to be edited, the form has to be resubmitted. If the payment would be enabled that would trigger another charge and because of that editing of the payment section is not possible.

You can either refund the payment and ask the parent to submit/pay again or add a note to your own record some other product was selected. For example, you can download your data as Excel and change the selected product there.

Unacceptable answer. This is a copy and paste exactly what was said to me in the chat, and it was made to sound to me like I would get a better answer this way. You're not thinking, you're not trying to provide good customer service, you are using canned answers. Unacceptable. I will certainly consider the trouble and rudeness if I decide to continue working with JotForms. This is extremely disappointing.

My colleague is not trying to be rude or cause any trouble. The reason you are hearing the same answer is because that is the common solution to the problem. Basically its not possible to edit the payment details of a submission.

However, since you only need to swap week 5 with week 2, I think this guide should help you:

    How-to-Edit-Submissions-Made-on-Your-Forms

Seeing that the price is the same you can leave the payment details how they are and modify the other sections.

(Actually its not even possible to edit the payment details anyhow, so you should be lucky this time).

    I hope that helps.

I've gone in that way and I cannot change the weeks, that's what I was saying, and that the price isn't changing or the payment, just the weeks, but I cannot select anything, which was why I contacted you. I also provided the edit form link in my submissions, but I think it's just too hard for most people to understand how to use, but she is saying she cannot select the weeks either. We literally just want to switch the week for all o four records so she knows when to come to camp, and my Camp Director knows what her counts are for each week.

Oh, I see. That's unfortunate. So it seems you cannot change it at all if it is a payment submission. If it was a regular submission it would allow you to.

So we are back to the same answer you don't want: You will need to refund and ask your customer to resubmit!

    Sorry for the inconvenience here.

    Sorry for the confusion.

I did not realize and you did not mention in your original post, that you asked the same question via chat and that my colleague told you to contact us via forum so that we can raise your issue to our developers as a feature request.

I have now raised your request to our developer. However, please note that we cannot provide you the exact time when and if this will be implemented. If there is any update we will inform you via this thread.
