    Hi

Within the Jotform reports interface I can create an excel report without a password. I can then go into excel and go to the Data tab and get data 'From Web' and i can work with the data in excel.

However when i add a password on the excel report i can no longer access it through excel. i have to use power query to edit the connection and i tried entering the password but i could not authenticate and download the data to excel, it says i may have provided the wrong credentials.

i only configured a password, but what username do i use to authenticate?

i tried using my jotform profile name as the username but no luck..

Please note that the Excel Report generated from the reports section shall be downloaded immediately. If there are any new submissions received after downloading the Excel report, it is required to download the Excel report again.

The Data import from web option in Excel can read the data from an HTML table displayed on the web page. Since the Excel report is a different report that can be downloaded directly and is not supported with import from web, it is displaying an error or asking to authenticate. If you want to read the submission data using Data from Web option, you may consider generating an HTML table report and use the URL to pull the data from the report to Excel.

Hope this information helps! Please give it a try and let us know if you need any further assistance. We will be happy to help.
