I would like to add an option for pickup and not have each item have a shipping charge?

What do you mean adding an option for pickup? To my understanding, you want the product you're selling to have an option to be picked up at your store.

Is that correct? I think you can use the Purchase Order payment method. It will only collect information for pick up but it will not collect any payment at the moment.
