Forms: getting not a secure connection error

Hello, I have a number of registration and enquiry forms which contain an image logo.

They are https but there is still a doubt from Google about manipulation of images by an attacker. Do I have to remove all images from my forms so that Google shows a green padlock. This is important as the security laws require it. If you need more information, please let me know

I have checked your forms and your form is secured HTTPS, however you may have embedded an insecure image on your forms which may have triggered the error.

Kindly upload the image to your form using the Image Filed under Basic Fields so that it would be uploaded to JotForm's secure server or just upload it .

Please give it a try and if the issue still remains, let us know so that we can check it further.

    Thank you.

Hi Richie. I have followed your instructions and have uploaded the original GIF as you have shown and selected it as logo which worked fine but the issue is the same so I uploaded it again to my Wordpress secure site and tried again as the wordpress link is on a secure site. I used the url of the picture on wordpress. In both cases, the problem remains. Google checks instantly does it not. I don't understand. Guess I'll try again with no logo at all and see what happens. Is that an idea?

    Thanks so far.

PS. I tried it without a logo at all and the result is the same so far

I have checked your forms and almost all of them is getting a connection not secure error.

I have made some of them secure by changing the URL .

    https://www.jotform.com/61226241242342

    https://www.jotform.com/81205556684360

Can check again your Form URL direct link for the proper link, it may need updating that is why it gets the error.

Or try resetting the URL see if that works.

    Thank you.

Tried with this one https://form.jotform.com/Shiatsufy/registrationform changed and applied new URLand the original

    with numbers

    https://www.jotformeu.com/form/3460601336

    No result

I can't find the original numbers for the Dutch registration (inschrijf) form (damn) but it looks like you might

    have to change them too.

I did the reset and tried again with the English website registration form. I didn't dare to try it with Dutch one yet. The registration and "Inschrijf" forms English and Dutch are the most important

so if you have to change the URLs and let me know I can update my websites' links. I had noticed that the

submission forms we are talking about got new names as letters instead of form numbers as URLs but I didn't do that

so where do I find the numbered source URLs like the ones you sent me in my account or dos the user not see them any more like me. Lucky I saved most of them but if resetting

and editing the names and applying does not work then what can I do? Has it got to do with the age of the form and Jotforms newer iterations?

Thanks for the first two though. Awaiting your reply

You may get the alert about the link not secure if you have used any source on your form loaded from a HTTP link, it may be a link you're using, an image, iFrame or anything else that you may be using on your form.

Now, regarding the form URL, I'm not sure which link you may have shared initially with your users, if you have shared the URL using the form id (the set of numbers) then the users will not have problems if you change the URL on your end, either if you configure a custom URL or use the default one with the form id.

You may also find the form id without resetting the form URL by simply copying the set of numbers on the URL of the builder.

For example, the URL of the form builder may be like this: https://www.jotform.com/build/81208110265950

Then you may only use "https://form.jotform.com/" or "https://www.jotform.com/" followed by the numbers.

    Example: https://form.jotform.com/81208110265950

Also, you may check the console report using the developer tools, you should find some logs about "mixed content" indicating the elements loaded using HTTP.

Please try checking this and see if the problem persists.

We will wait for your response.

    Hi Kevin.

Where do I find the console report? My form and build URLs begin with https://eu.jotform.com and not https://jotform.com. Does that make a difference?

In the thankyou page was a link to an insecure URL which I changed and now points to www.shiatsu.nl which is secure. Do I need to edit the thankyou page by inserting https:// in front of it as well? We are are still talking about the form as it stands now. If the rules apply this time then it should work for the other pages. The Google warning is still only talking about images that can be manipulated and therefore not entirely secure. I won't be able to find anything else without knowing where I can look at the conse report

    Here's the current URL https://www.jotformeu.com/form/3460601336

Also, when publishing I get the secure link or direct link https://form.jotform.com/Shiatsufy/registrationform which I can't edit because only "registrationform" can be changed. I assume that the build number with the world build is what I must use.

It used to always be like that anyway, still not working and awaiting directions to the console report

    Alan Nash

PS I hope my feedback helps

Okay = you mean google- got it. The error is, it said like this

3460601336:1611 Mixed Content: The page at 'https://www.jotform.com/3460601336' was loaded over HTTPS,

but requested an insecure image 'http://www.jotform.net/uploads/Shiatsufy/form_files/onderstreep.gif'.

This content should also be served over HTTPS

So I removed it and followed your instructions to upload the image via BASIC and which made

a new box on the form and the image did not appear and din't appear in the MY IMAGES box either so how do I get it on your secure server? Plus one of the images in the box disappeared which belonged to another form - the english contact form.

I have followed instructions and worked it out but you will have to look further to figure this out please Kevin.

    I await your reply

    Thanks

Follow this guide to get the console log report: https://www.jotform.com/help/453-How-to-get-a-console-report-from-most-common-browsers

The domains does not affect the secure protocol(https). It should not be necessary, but it could make a difference, please use https://www.shiatsu.nl/ in the Thank You page.

I have checked your form, and the console report shows this message:

    1525304005consolelog Screenshot 10

It appears that the .gif file is loading over the insecure protocol. Please delete it, and use this URL instead: https://cms.jotform.com/uploads/image_upload/image_upload/BDAVID/55594_onderstreep.gif

    Example:

Thank you BDAVID I assume I can use the same technique with my other forms with this problem using the same upload URL but the form doesn't have the logo any more I deleted it. Since that did not appear in the console, I am safe again to upload it.

At this time before doing so this form is now secure without the Logo. What do you think? How do I upload the logo gif from my computer securely also? Please reply I have been up two nights getting this straight. I tried to alter the secure web address on the Thankyou page but it did not show as a full link in the box and I also did so on the main form and that didn't work either but the form is now secure without doing that. Good to know

However I have one more form https://eu.jotform.com/build/20282342314 which google does not like and though I swapped out the images and replaced them with secure ones from my box of uploaded images it's still not secure - can you help me with that technique you gave me with the url that got the others secure - thanks

You can upload the images and get the link to the files, in this page: https://www.jotform.com/help/image_upload.php?naked=true?naked=true

    1) Chose the file.

    2) Click on the send button.

    3) Copy the link from the box.
