Can I have more than one input type in a matrix?

Asked by hbcreative on February 22, 2011 at 07:46 PM

Can I have more than one input type in a matrix?  For example, I want to have a row for different types of instruments.  On each row, I want columns for people to indicate if they're interested in lessons (Yes/No), years of experience (options provided or text field), and whether they own their own instrument (Yes/No).

I tried using the Dropdown input style, but it will not allow me to have different options for each column.  Whatever i enter as the options are used in every cell of the matrix.  While "Yes" and "No" as options work for the 1st and 3rd column, that doesn't work for the years of experience.

    Thoughts?  Can that be done?

No, it is not possible to have mix types of fields on the same matrix.

It might be possible by copying the full form source code to your web site and then changing the dropdown fields to text fields manually.

OR, just include a list of numbers from 1 to 50 and let them choose the years of exprerience from the dropdown.

Has this been updated? I also need a yes / no at the last column.
