Wordpress Feedback button plugin not working properly

    Hi there.

I've installed the feedback button plugin on www.antiochian.org.au and the button is there and appears correctly, though when I click on it, I can't get the lightbox to display any form (see attached screenshot).

    Here's what I've done:

    * Used a very simple form (as opposed to the 1 per page)

    * Moving the position of the button.

    * Uninstalled the other Joform embed plugin to avoid conflict

    * Disabled and deleted the Jotform feedback plugin and then re-installed as per other similar questions to no avail.

It seems the plugin hasn't been updated for a few years so if there's a work-around you could suggest, would appreciate that!

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to test the feedback plugin since it requires Wordpress business account.

I will forward this issue to our backend team for additional checking of this plugin.

We will get back to you via this thread.

    Thank you!

    Hello,

I've just checked your situation and found out you are serving your website over HTTPS but the jotform link is requested over HTTP. Here is the error description that you can find in the Developer Tools.1525851913Screen Shot 2018 05 09 at 10 Screenshot 10

You can simply fix this by changing HTTP to HTTPS in your source:

Thanks Burak! I appreciate your help.

Silly question, would you be able to confirm how to change the source data? I've never had need to do so and would like to do so safely.

    Please try following this guide:

    The WordPress Editor

If your WordPress site is still up and running and you’re able to access the backend, you can find the site’s source code via the WordPress Editor under Appearance.

Here, you can access the PHP files and make any changes you see fit. Be sure you know what you’re doing before making changes to anything in this area!

Let us know if that worked for you.

    Thank you!

Hi there. I have had a look in the editor and I can't see exactly where the source code is for the feedback button. Would anyone be able to advise exactly where, in the Editor, I should be looking?

You can search for "Feedback" in your source.

    For example (using Google Chrome):

So I can find the URL using the Chrome developer tools, but what I can't figure out is how to update the URL. Based on previous instructions in this thread, I've logged in to Wordpress, gone to Appearance > Editor and am presented with a whole bunch of PHP theme files.

Just can't track down the specific theme file that contains the URL that needs to be changed from HTTP to HTTPS.

Perhaps I've misunderstood what I am meant to do... thanks for your help

I believe you are looking in the wrong section.

The editor is not under appearance > editor.

    Its under plugin > editor.

    Then select JotForm feedback plugin

Next, click "/jotform-wp-feedback.php" file from the list.

    For example:

Success! Aubrey, your last answer was perfect...

There was one more step I had to take following your last post... All I had to do after updating the URL was to go back to the WP Feedback Button plugin settings, search for the forms and re-select the desired form.
