I am getting an error when I try to make a payment through my Jot form connected to First Data. The error says "Client error response [status code] 401 [freason phrase] Unauthorized [url] https://api.demo.globalgatewaye4.firstdata.com/transaction/v11"

I have contacted First Data and all of my information — Gateway ID and API Password – is correct. They said the issue was with the demo url since the information provide is for a live transaction. They told me to contact you for a resolution.

I've tried the form in both Sandbox and not sandbox mode. Neither worked.

Is that the API form First data? As I check the API hostname it returned a bad request id expected error.

Make sure your account gateway ID is correct.

After further investigation, it seems you're trying to submit API transactions to the demo environment. You could use this hostname instead api.demo.globalgatewaye4.firstdata.com

Do note also that the merchant token should also be acquired from the 'merchants' tab of the Payeezy developers website.

You could also contact their support at support.payeezy@firstdata.com

    Hope this information helps.

Let us know if the issue still remains.

    Thank you.
