How can I make sure everyone has filled out my anonymous survey?

Asked by guest_23237097007047 on November 20, 2012 at 10:39 AM

I need to survey a group of people. I need to make sure each person has filled out the form but I want their responses to be anonymous. Most impotantly, I need to know who hasn't filled it out so I can make sure they do.

Adding Name and Email Field to your form would be the best?

But then the survey isn't anonymous?

For example, A, B, C, D and E are emailed the survery. If I had 3 responses , I want to know which 2 people didn't respond so someone call follow up with them to make sure they fill out the form. However, when I look at the responses, I don't want to know who's response is whos.

If that "someone" is the only person who will send the form link via email addresses, then a feasible workaround would be to insert a hidden box field to your form and assigning a value to that field via URL prepopulation.

A form URL (same form) with the prefilled respondent code (e.g., A, B, C, etc...) will then be sent to the corresponding person.

When the form is submitted, you will only see the respondent code and the survey data. As long as you do not have an idea on how the respondent codes are assigned, survey data should remain anonymous to you.
