I'm wondering if it's possible to conduct "authorize only" payment transactions via any of the payment gateways you integrate with? This is when you take a payment authorization, but do not actually charge the credit card until a later date (or, not at all). Thanks! Josh

Unfortunately it is not currently possible to just authorize a payment and not accept it. However I've just been looking at the Paypal site and apparently it is only a matter of adding an "paymentaction" flag to the payment request, so I will add this as a suggested feature request. Hopefully the devs will be able to look into it soon.

Thank you for the quick reply, Daniel - if I download all of your code for the form, would I not have access to the payment request flags? I'm not a developer, but perhaps it's not too difficult to do? Thanks again, Josh

I'm afraid not. The form is still submitted via JotForm so even if you embed the entire code in your site, we would still need to check for the flag.

@theprintedblog and to everyone who might be reading this,
Authorization-only is now available for Paypal standard transactions. However, payment capture can only be done manually, via Paypal's account interface.
