i setup the subscription to charge 199.99 then 50 dollars every quarter but it only charged a customer 50 $ what can be done to fix it.

I apologize but I don't quite think that this would be possible here on JotForm alone because the subscription option only allows you to select one option and currently our forms only have the ability to add mutliple payment options but not payment subtypes themselves such as this. It may be possible to do so with the source code but that would require some programming outside of jotform if you know any or know someone that can do this for you.
The only other way I see this being done maybe would require two separate forms one with one charge and a second with the subscription and the first could lead your customer to the second but this would most likely create a double-charge that would be incurred to your customer to create the total effect.
In addition to this, a possibility to this might be with our Stripe Integration which allows you to create different types of third-party payment forms for accepting payments per say and I know that they do have a subscription feature with programability that is more in-depth which is why we have an integration for that so you may be able to do so but my knowledge of Stripe is somewhat limited so it would take some time to help you try to achieve this even though its not a guarantee but you can read more about Stripe Subscription Setup here: https://stripe.com/docs/tutorials/subscription. This method would also require programming knowledge as well in order to get it put together and working.
