E-Signature does not work for many iOS users

We need to capture a signature likeness and use the E-Signature widget. Works fine on Windows and Android but on about 30% of iPads and iPhones the user is unable to make a mark on the tile using their touch screen.

We had a similar issue with smooth signature - is there any widget that will work reliably across all platforms?

    TIA

To which form is this issue related to?

    I tested the following forms:

    https://www.jotform.co/form/80100523002836

    https://www.jotform.co/form/80098519102858

on different iPhones and iPads using an emulator and the E-signature widget is working fine. One of my colleagues tested your forms on a real iPhone 7 and he was also not able to replicate the issue you reported.

If the issue is related to some other form, please provide us a link of that form. If the form is embedded, provide us your webpage URL. Also, please tell us which iPhone version are using the users that reported this issue. Are you also able to replicate the issue?

I cleared your form cache, so please test your form again.

You can find available signature widgets here - https://widgets.jotform.com/search/signature

HI as I mentioned this is only happening say 30% of the time. We will try to find out what versions of iOS and browser, although that is hard as a lot of our users are technically challenged! It is definitely occurring as we have to frequently send paper copies!

And, yes - on all of our forms including the ones you tested.

As my colleague mentioned, we shall look into the form and let you know once we clearly identify on which iOS devices the signature widget is not working.

A helpful workaround would be to add 2 signature options for the user to choose from and use conditions to show/hide and require/un-require the fields.

An example is provided here: https://form.jotform.com/81698187969988. Feel free to clone the form and test as required.

To implement this, add 2 signature widgets from available signature widgets here: https://widgets.jotform.com/search/signature

Add conditions to show/hide and require/un-require the signatures based on which one the client chooses to sign.

This way your clients will have 2 options to sign the form which should cover all use cases.

    Hope this helps.
