    Hello,
I need some help getting my JotForm to work correctly.
    1) problem after selecting “check” or “credit card” on JotForm...
If u are paying by check, and then click submit, it still takes you to PayPal like you are paying with a credit card?
    Also,
I do not receive an email order confirmation from Jot Form when a customer selects submit, no matter if a customer pays with credit card or check.

PayPal is working fine. It is the only receipt or email that I receive.
    2).
On the JotForm drop down menu where u select square footage... could u make it so the price shows beside each selection? Just so customers don’t get confused.

    ———————————-
    ———————————
    3.
Could u possibly make a spot for a drop down that contains a contract agreement pdf (I will send a pdf) with an E Signature just below or after it where the customer just types their name Etc? I’ve seen it on other sites and it works good.

    Thank You!!

This is happening because a product in the payment field is selected by default. It means that when you open the form, it is already selected by default. If there is a product selected in the payment field, then the user will be redirected to PayPal after hitting the Submit button. The payment field needs to be blank in order to achieve this.

Please follow the steps below to fix the issue:

    1. In the Form Builder, select the Payment Product (Select Your Services) section and then click the "Payment Settings" button. Choose the 1st product (Property Square Footage) and then click the "Edit" icon.

    152997496306 26 53xj8 Screenshot 10

    2. Disable the "Selected by Default" option.

    152997472506 26 qgb0w Screenshot 21

    3. When you are done, click the "Save Product" button.

    4. You also need to "unrequire" the payment (Select Your Services) section. It is because that if that field is blank, you will not be able to submit the form. Just right-click the field and then select the "Unrequire" option.

    Here's the result:

    Hope that helps. Thank you.

I tried this by attempting to submit a form online myself, As if I were a customer and I did not receive an email from Jot Form. It just took me to PayPal Even though I was paying with a check.
I did receive instructions to fix this yesterday. I followed the instructions, but it did not fix it. Do you think you could fix it for me? I would greatly appreciate it as I am not very good at computer programming and web design.
    Thank You!!

We apologize for the ongoing issue.

    1. User select "Check" but still being redirected to PayPal — You will need to set a condition to hide the payment field if user selects "Check" option. In this way, they won't be able to select an amount in your payment field which causes they to be redirected to PayPal once form gets submitted.

    2. Not receiving an email — Please try setting the condition first to hide the payment field if user selected the "Check" option. If that is done, try making a submission with "Check" option. That should trigger your auto responder once form gets completed.

Let us know how it goes.

Also, I need an email from Jot Form no matter which selection the customer chooses. (Check or credit card).

With regards to the email notification, it will send you an email if they select the Check option.

If they select the Credit or Debit card option and didn't complete the subscription, it will be listed under your "Incomplete Payments" https://www.jotform.com/help/135-How-to-View-Incomplete-Payments

If they select the Credit or Debit card option and completed the payment, they should receive your auto response email.

Thank you very much for your help!
So, just to make sure I understand... when they select credit card, I will still get an email confirmation from Jot Form and then PayPal (as long as they fill out the credit card info and pay) ??
Also, the “Services” section seems to have disappeared when I checked it online as a customer?? See pic below.
    Thanks,
    Mike

Also, the “Services” section seems to have disappeared when I checked it online as a customer??

Since the Services are set on the Payment field, it will be hidden based on the condition set. If you want to display the services for any payment method on the form, you may consider adding the services using a Multiple Check boxes from the Form elements and assign calculation values to them. The final calculation value can be then passed to the payment field using User defined amount in the payment type.

Please give it a try by following the guides provided and let us know if you need any further assistance.

I need to receive a JotForm email whether they pay by check or credit card.

I have checked your JotForm and see that the notification is set correctly and you should be able to receive the email when the form is submitted irrespective of the payment type.

    Thanks!

    Hello,
I tried to fix this following your instructions but could not make it work. I’m not very good at this...
    could u please fix it?
Note: A customer has to be able to go down through the form, then select different “services) and then...decide whether they are paying by check or credit card.
Then... if they want pay by credit card, they will of course select credit card and then click submit. Hopefully, Jott form will then send me an email of the order and then it will take the customer to pay pal to enter their credit card info.
Or... if after the customer selects their “services” they then select pay by “check,” then click on “submit” It should NOT take them to PayPal (the order process would now be finished) and both myself and the customer should then receive order confirmations from jot form.
    Thank you for your help!

Since the special pricing enabled for the products and to make it easier to manage the form for you, I have made the following changes to your form.

    1. Cloned the existing PayPal form to another form and replaced the PayPal field with Purchase Order field. So, you'll be having two different forms for PayPal and Check (Purchase Order) payments.

    https://www.jotform.us/form/81314857861160 - PayPal

    http://www.jotform.us/form/81774219486165 - Check/Purchase Order

    2. I have created a new form with a radio button that enables the user to choose the payment method PayPal or Check and two iFrame embed widgets to display the PayPal/Check forms inside this form. I setup the following conditions for the radio buttons on the form to display the iFrame embedded forms accordingly.

    153010879627062018 1942583 Screenshot 10

So, you'll be having two forms that receives the submissions separately for Check and PayPal. This also enables the user to select the services irrespective of the payment method chosen.

Please check this form https://form.jotform.com/81774327586166 and let us know if you that works by using two different forms. This functionality is explained in the guide below that you may want to take a look.

Please get back to us if you need any further assistance. We will be happy to help.

Please change the URL of your "Order Inspection" button on your site to have this form https://form.jotform.com/81774327586166 URL as the initial form.

Your users will then have to select first which payment method they want and the forms below will appear based on their selection (PayPal or Check payment).

    Hello,
I changed the url to the website.
It was Working fine, except for the fact when you place an order under credit card, I do not get a Jott form email letting me know that there was an order.
I need a Jott form email when ordering on credit card as well as check. As I need that information for the home inspection.
So, when placing an order with credit card clicking on submit I needed it to send me an email and go to PayPal.
Also, unfortunately, I was trying to change the verbiage on the Jott form that read PayPal to read credit/debit card and I believe I messed it up.
I messed up the form that is now published.
If you go to the website homeispectidaho.com and ord an inspection, you will see my mistake.
    Sorry and thank you!

I have now fixed your form. The condition field value was left blank after you made some changes.

For the notification, you won't receive any email if you don't complete the submission for "Credit / Debit Card" option, but the notification setting is all set for both your ORDER INSPECTION - PayPal and ORDER INSPECTION - Check form.

    1530154383incomplete payment Screenshot 10

You just need a live form submission that completes the payment and you should be all set.

The 2 other forms are not showing because it is hidden by a condition. If you want either Check or Credit / Debit card option selected by default, you can change that in the field's Advanced Settings.
