How to pass the total field to the donation's payment field?

I want to be able to have several fields sum up to a total, which is submitted for payment processing. Is this possible? I can add it up into a new field, but not the donationAmount for Squareup processing.

Using the instructions from https://www.jotform.com/help/268-How-to-Insert-Text-or-Calculation-into-a-Field-Using-Conditional-Logic I can put the total in a number field, but it will not go into the donationAmount field of the card processing section.

Add a form calculation widget and capture the value of the total donation field. Once done, assign the form calculation widget in your payment field as your "Get price from" field.

Assign to "Get price from"
