If I'm not mistaken, this is to be set on your Paypal account's language settings.  But to be able to check further, can you share with us your form which has this Paypal that appears on a different language?

    Thanks.

    Hi Liyam,

Thanks for your answer. This is the site: www.neruocog.ull.es/psycholinguistics/registration-accommodation/.

The problem with the language is in the gateway paypal. You can fill out the form by clicking on "Registration" or "Hotel Booking". Once you have filled it then you click "submit" and then you access into the paypal gateway. At that point is  where we have the problem. Instead of in english, the gateway paypal is in spanish.

Our paypal account is set to English. And JotForm account.

    Thanks

    Hi,

    I made a research about such issue and the majority of the solution I have found is to check your Language Settings and Time Zone Settings;

    This Video Will help you:

Please try and see if that helps.

    Thank you.

I regret to inform you that we continue to have a language problem with the link form jotform to paypal. Of course we have set all our language and time zone setting in English!
Paypal informed us that the button on which the payer has to click to go from jotform to paypal has to be reconfigured so English will become the standard language.
This should be done by means of implementing the following code:

    <input type="hidden" name="lc" value="US">

This is out of our control and we need you to implement this code as soon as possible in the two subscription buttons of our two forms.
And as you can understand it is absolutely of crucial importance that English becomes the standard language in all our forms, since we will receive all our payments from people all over the world and we are already receiving complaints. If we cannot solve the problem soon I'm afraid we will have to explore other options because this is seriously damaging our business.
We have done everything we could and I am afraid we cannot do more, please be so kind to attend this problem as soon as possible!
    Thank you very much,
    yours sincerely

    Hi,

We apologize for anything that you feel, frustrations/confusions, if any. I have tried cloning your form and could not replicate the issue.

    You can test it: http://form.jotformpro.com/form/23342381672957

Please try using doing this solution:

    1. Log into PayPal

    2. Click the ‘Profile’ link in the menu bar under ‘My Account

    3. Click the ‘Language Encoding’ link under the ‘Selling Preferences’ column

    4. Click ‘More Options

    5. Set ‘Encoding’ to ‘UTF-8

    6. Click ‘Save

I hope this will help, if not, please do let us know so we can escalate this to our developers.

    Thank yoiu.

The problem is how come it only works on this pc and not on the one´s in Belgium, Germany etc.

Please be so kind to assist us urgently

    Hi again,

I don't know if you received correctly my latest mails, but the language change to english only worked at the computer where we made the changes and where we tried your clone form.

Other pc´s in other countries kept on presenting the paypal link in Spanish.

We checked if we had saved correctly UTF-8 and we had.

We did another test and now we're back to square 1, everything is in Spanish again. Also on the pc where it was working 10 minutes ago.

    Please help,

    best wishes Maartje

    Hi there

I have tested and the language that is set on your paypal account is the language that will be set on your gateway.

For example, if I go to paypal and choose the language to be French, then whenever I submit a form it will take me to a payment gateway in French.

To set your language in Paypal is simple.  Login, and choose the language from the top right of your home page.

    Hope this helps!

    Hi there,

We just entered the paypal account and on our computer the language was English but only once and additonally as you commented appears top right the language option English..The second time though it reappeared in Spanish without the language option topright.

ALSO on the pc of one of my costumer's in the Netherlands the page still appears in Spanish!

And that pc was not used before to access our webpage nor Paypal.

Please keep on searching what's going on here please!?

    best wishes

    @aberejo

The account that is associated to your payment gateway, what is the language on that account.

From what my tests have shown, it has nothing to do with where your user is located.  It has to do with the settings on the paypal account.  If you enter your paypal account and click on profile.

Choose the "My Settings" option and set the language.  This is the language that your payment gateway will have regardless of where the user is.

This is something that is setupp on Paypals end and we don't have much control over.

    Hope this helps!

This was the first thing we did, everything is in English!

Also the "Paypal button language encoding"...

If your company cannot solve this problem asap I'm afraid we have to consider other options.

    Best wishes

    Hi there,

We are more then happy to help.  Here are the results of our tests with clones of your form:

    ------------------------------------------------------

    ------------------------------------------------------

I tried this process three times with the same result. (BTW I'm in the Dominican Republic at the moment so the location did not come into place)

    ------------------------------------------------------

    ------------------------------------------------------

Same as above... the language on my Paypal account (account that is related to my payment gateway on the form) is the language that appears on the gateway.  i did not change any other settings.

    ------------------------------------------------------

    ------------------------------------------------------

When you test your account, is the integration acting different?

Can you please send us some screenshots of the paypal settings and the submissions result?

Please let us know so that we can troubleshoot further.  Again, we are glad to continue to assist you!

Thank you for your help but I'm afraid we're still not getting there.

We need English to appear as the standard language not a button on the topright to change it to any language..

Additionally we add what happens on our computer, no English and also no righttop button..but again the most important thing is not the possibilty to change the language but that Paypal always appears in English.

    Thank you!

    @ abarejo

Can you also include a shot of the paypal account settings?

Again, the images that I have shown are not on our end.  This are settings on Paypal's services,  We have no control over it.  I am mearly explaining to you how it works.

Have you tested as shown on the images above?

    I'll wait for your response.

I have found the following tutorial on the PayPal website, that may be related to the PayPal Express checkout or may not.

Please try to change the language using the following method. If this is not working, we will forward the issue to our Development Team to see if we can implement the solution based on hidden country field. You may also try to contact PayPal support to find out if there is any other way to change the language of the payment page.

    Changing Your Default Website Language

    To change your website language:

    1. Log in to your PayPal account at https://www.paypal.com

The My Account Overview page opens.

    2. Click the Profile subtab.

    The Profile Summary page opens.

    3. In the Selling Preferences column, click the Language Encoding link.

The Language Encoding page opens, as shown below.

    4. From the Your website’s language dropdown menu, select an appropriate setting.

    5. Click the Save button.

Good news, abarejo. You can now set a specific country/language to your checkout page.  You can modify this on your Paypal wizard's account information page.

Note: Setting it to Default means it will select the country set on your Paypal account.

I'm experiencing the same issue with my clients and PayPal support member are trying to convince me it's solved with simple instructions, when it's not. This is related to the code and developers need to find a solution soon, otherwise, i'm considering other options as well.

My clients have this problem all the time and the only right then solution is telling them to click right, translate to English and do the rest that way.

This needs to be solved already!

    Hello Yassine,

This thread is old already and the interface for the Paypal wizard has changed. But the same principle and logic still applies when changing a language on your Paypal checkout.

Simply click the wizard on your Paypal settings and click the properties inside the wizard

Next, click on Additional Gateway Settings.

Then scroll down and find the checkout language. Choose the default language you like to appear once the person reaches your Paypal checkout page
