Emails: PayPal payment confirmation

    Hi

    1. How do I get a PayPal confirmation of transaction attached to the notifier email?

    2. Can I have a condition that if the transaction is OK, an email, with a Dog-ID number, is sent to the applicant?  We would like to be sure of Payment before issuing a number.

    Unfortunately its not possible to add the transaction ID to an email notification. However, PayPal should be sending you confirmation of received payments. Please check your PayPal account.


    2. Can I have a condition that if the transaction is OK, an email, with a Dog-ID number, is sent to the applicant?  We would like to be sure of Payment before issuing a number.

    You can use an autoresponder email with the Dog-ID. You need to make your payment integration required. Then it wont send the autoresponder email unless the payment is successful. Unsuccessful submissions will be recorded in the Incomplete Payments section of your submissions page.

    Further question.

    If for example I want to wait until we have payment confirmation from or FSO, then edit the submission, add the ID number manually, and submit it sending the applicant their Dog-ID card.

    FYI, I have two autoresponders at , 81664058859976/settings/emails , and was thinking that I could use these based on conditions using change email recipient.

    Unfortunately its not possible to edit a form with a payment that has been processed. So this approach will not work.

    Hi,

     I can open submissions on a report using the edit submission link and the submission have already been processed, I tried it today, at least I was able to open the form and possibly make an edit, I didn't try. So are you are saying I can't edit these?

    Yes that's right. It should open. And you can see all the data. But you cant submit this form. Give it a try if you like?

    OK... I'l take your word for it.

    I believe you understand what I'm trying to do, validate that payment is made before sending the ID number out. As I understand it now we can't do that with the system, but manually only . Good to know but unfortunate.

    It should be possible to edit submission data for payment submissions via the submission page:

    Payments cannot be edited but the form data should be possible to edit.  Payment is only processed when the form is initially submitted, not with submission edits.

    Hi,

    OK well I guess that was my somewhat my question for #2, only I was looking for an automated way to notify payment received. I was looking at out PayPal site settings and was thinking about a way to use it... I haven't worked it out yet.
